Greetings to all and thank you for visiting the Urban Image Photography website. U.I.P. is the company of Edward Chavis. He specializes in portraiture of all types. Edward also enjoys photographing landscapes and still life, which you can see in the "Fine Art" section of this site. He enjoys shooting digital and film because each of the two media has a very distinct feel and a group of advantages.

 

Edward began his photographic journey during his sophomore year at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. He was given his first Nikkormat Ftn camera and was hooked. "I spent, most, every free moment trying to learn the nuances of films, lenses and reading every article or book thought to be relevant." Even today, he still becomes excited about the prospect of picking up his camera and seeing what will be revealed.
